An AC is an unit which control & maintain the various eLements required for keeping your space comfortable that is temperature, humidity, air cleanliness & air distribution.
Air conditioners take heat and humidity out of the air inside your home, then distribute that heat and humidity outside while returning the newly cooled air back to the house. Air conditioners never take air from outside and put it in your home. Instead, they work by cooling down the air that’s already in your home.
Compression is the first step in the refrigeration cycle, and a compressor is the piece of equipment that increases the pressure of the working gas. Refrigerant enters the compressor as low-pressure, low-temperature gas, and leaves the compressor as a high-pressure, high-temperature gas.
A condenser is the outdoor portion of an air conditioner or heat pump that either releases or collects heat, depending on the time of the year.
Unlike an inverter compressor, a non inverter compressor works on a fixed speed and do not modulate the speed of compressor as per the application requirement. It works on simple command to start cooling & stop cooling.
Site orientation drastically increases the energy efficiency of your home while decreasing the effect of your building on the natural environment. It affects the heating and cooling of your building, and when done right will help you maintain an optimal temperature in your living environment.
When put in heating mode, the reversing valve is flipped, and the flow of refrigerant through the system changes direction. The hot condenser coils now become the cold evaporator coils, and vice versa.
“The rotary compressor has more power and can therefore cool more air than a scroll unit. Rotary compressors are therefore a better option in larger central air conditioning system but might be wasted in a smaller central unit or in a window air conditioner.
Despite its ability to cool larger quantities of air, a rotary unit is actually less expensive than a scroll compressor. The price difference is passed on to the cost of the overall air conditioning unit or systems, which can become a deciding factor when choosing your unit.”
As a general rule of thumb, for AC power consumption calculation you should take, 1 ton of cooling = 1,000 watts. 1.5 ton of cooling = 1,500 watts per hour.
The consumption of 1.5 Ton spilt AC is around 3KVA (2.5KW) & 1 Ton AC (window) is around 2.5KVA (2 KW)
